Applying for Grants
Atlas is not an endowed foundation, so it can only give grants when it is successful in attracting donations for this purpose from other individuals, foundations or corporations.
As mentioned on the Think Tank Development overview page, think tanks that come to Atlas just for funding are likley to be disappointed. Our most valuable role is in connecting you to a world of peers, from whom you can learn and develop a stronger network of partners.
However, thanks to our generous donors, Atlas is able to give small grants from time to time. Often, our ability to give grants is subject to restrictions (e.g., some donors provide us with funding for particular regions, some for only younger organizations, etc.), so if we are unable to offer funding, please do not take it as a negative assessment of your work.
In order to become eligible for possible Atlas funding,
please contact our Coalition Relations Department with a short message in
the subject line: "Inquiry regarding Funding from Atlas". You will
be notified about whether you may be eligible for any funding from
Atlas.
Thanks for your interest in Atlas!
